Stories of a German Exchange Student

Halloween Party

On Friday I took part in a robotics competition in Tamsalu. It was about solving mazes and we had to do all our work there. We had three hours and every hour we had a run that was important for the prizes. In my first run I did quite well and took the lead. Unfortunately, I had some consistency problems at the spot where my first run ended. So after the second run, where I didn’t make any improvement even though my robot was much better, I solved the consistency problems at that spot. The whole last hour my robot was perfect and also set the record among all runs during the test runs. But in my third important run at the very end, the robot failed at exactly the same point where my first run had failed for the first time in this whole last hour. So overall, even though I set the record, the run that was important for the points was the one I did after a third of the time.
After that I went to Tartu to go to a party with Estonians and stayed there overnight. On Saturday I went to Tallinn again to go to a party, but this time with other exchange students. On Sunday I went shopping for winter shoes and found some.

We also had the first snow this weekend but since I wasn’t home i didn’t experience it myself
